Every three thousand years ODEA, the Mystic Mantis, goes through a metamorphosis wherein they are transformed into an ODEA Egg for magical restoration. Prior to the hatching, ODEA Priestesses guard and protect the ODEA Egg from evil forces wanting to corrupt ODEA’s power.
The Young ODEA emerges from the ODEA Egg renewed, green with youth, and full of newfound wonder. Young ODEA retains the memories of the past ODEAs but creates their own personality during their journey towards enlightenment. Even during this journey, Young ODEA takes their solemn duty to protect our dimension from the Oldest One and the evil dark dimension seriously.

Ta’Ving is a Lieutenant in By’Douks Squadron of Beast Men. He is second in command to Au’Ling and in charge of the Beast Men scouts and trackers. After Ta’Ving has gained the scent of his prey, he can track them anywhere on Earth. Like all Beast Men, Ta’Ving cannot speak.
They use a form of sign language to communicate, and evolved from ancient Columbian primates magically mutated at birth by Madam Braddock. At the Oldest One’s command, Ta’Ving with the Squadron of Beast Men, seek out the Young ODEA to corrupt their power and bend them to the Oldest One’s will.

Himari is a student at the College of Magic in Tibet, studying and practicing their magical ability of Encylopikinesis, the ability to read at unrealistic speeds and retain everything they have read. Himari has intuitive knowledge on how to pronounce any word in any language, and perfectly write in any language.
They can read an entire library of any size with ease and understand, remember, and integrate what they read on every page. Himari was fatality injured saving their mentor, Monju Bosatsu the Wise, during the latest battle to stop the Oldest One from conquering our dimension. To save Himari’s life, Bosatsu bonded them to the Faerie, Yosei.
The magical gauntlet that bonds Himari to Yosei allows Himari to transform at will into Yosei to protect the world from evil spirits and demons. The combined powers of Encylopikinesis and Yosei, have made Himari reach the power level of an Enhanced Human.

The Faerie Yosei escaped Avalon, the home of the faeries, when the boundary between humans and the faerie fractured. Yosei is an incredibly powerful woodland faerie that can shape shift, fly, and use telepathy and telekinesis.
Like most faeries, Yosei suffers from obsessive compulsive behaviors and can get disoriented counting objects or things. Her favorite number is five.
Monju Bosatsu the Wise bonded Yosei to Himari, an enhanced human, with a magical gauntlet that allows them to transform into Yosei at will. This magical gauntlet also restrains Yosei from corrupting Himari and consuming them completely.

Tomotada Yoshimune is an agent in the Koan Chosa Kyoku, the Japanese Secret Service, in their new unsolved paranormal crimes department. Professionally, he was trained by the Japanese military police as a well respected investigator and officer.
Personally, Yoshimune is constantly almost marrying the wrong women, but was talked out of it by his friend and associate, Himari.
Yoshimune met Himari when trying to solve the grisly murder of a little boy by a demon faerie. Yoshimune, Himari and Yosei team up periodically to solve or seek revenge for the most horrific and difficult paranormal crimes. These three investigators have formed a special powerful friendship and partnership. Yoshimune has the power of an average human.

To’Mas was a member of Madam Bradddock’s Elite Squadron of Beast Men on a mission to liberate the Oldest One from a pocket dimension. After the Oldest Ones return to Earth, By’Douk was commanded to kill these Elite members to disguise the Oldest One’s return.
To’Mas, on the verge of death, used his latent magical powers to call out for help. His anguished plea was intuited by Sagia the Redeemer. Sagia found To’Mas buried in a shallow grave and nursed him back to life; once healthy she offered him redemption.
After being reborn as a mystical beast, To’Mas uses his new life to catalog and protect the sacred memory tomes of the Redeemed. Like all Beast Men, To’Mas cannot speak, but Sagia has enchanted him with the gift of telepathy.

By’Douk is the true form of Madam Braddock who remained on Earth after the Oldest One’s first attempt to conquer Earth’s dimension failed. After the Oldest One’s secret return to Earth’s dimension, the true form of By’Douk is revealed.
In this form, By’Douk can forge a deeper connection to the magic of the dark dimension and can reach the highest level of Super Human strength. At the Oldest Ones command, By’Douk and her Squadron of Beast Men seek out the Young ODEA to corrupt their power and bend them to the Oldest One’s will.
