HamWeg Spotlight: League of Nations

Determined to prepare Earth for threats yet to come, the League of Nations employed Doc Savage and industrialist Malcom Volloffto to design and construct Moon Base Alpha, an advanced early warning system that serves as both a defensive outpost and a galactic research station.

Built on the eastern side of Earth’s Moon and protected by a powerful gravity dome, Moon Base Alpha represents the League of Nations’ commitment to vigilance, innovation, and planetary defense.

Under secret orders Secretary Decker was tasked with activating the Champions of Justice Initiative (CoJ) — a League of Nations funded team of superheroes assembled to defend Earth in pursuit of global peace and security. The initiative marked a dramatic evolution, moving beyond diplomacy and military strategy into the realm of extraordinary humans.

Champions of Justice – Superheroes

The League of Nations’ responsibilities extended beyond war and superhuman threats. In the wake of global conflict, reports of Unidentified Monster Encounters, or UMEs, made it clear that Earth faced dangers conventional forces were not prepared to handle.

In response, Lexi Monroe collaborated with the British Government to establish the new covert force, Mi9, dedicated to neutralizing those threats.

Based in Britain but operating independently of the British Government, Mi9 reports directly to League of Nations Secretary Lesleigh Decker. Its mission is to track, contain, and eliminate the monstrous dangers posed by UMEs before they can threaten Earth on a larger scale.

The League of Nations is a living institution shaped by war, diplomacy, science, secrecy, and heroism.
