Oyun, The Elemental Language of the Earth
Within the HamWeg Galaxy, magic is never a single force. It is a living spectrum of power shaped by gods, shadows, knowledge, and the primal energies of creation itself.
Some magic is Olympic, bestowed by the mighty Olympic Gods. Some is Chaos Magic, the dark and dangerous power of the Underworld, necromancy, and corruption.
Some is Mystical Magic, born from deep knowledge of the hidden laws that govern the galaxy, but Oyun (pronounced “Oh-gin”) is something different.
Oyun is Elemental Magic born from the Earth.
It is the sacred language forged by the four great Elementals, Fiore of Fire, Xygen of Air, Gavrun of Earth, and Aquiris of Water, after their escape from Pandora’s Box.
Having broken free, these ancient beings saw the suffering of Earth’s inhabitants beneath the cruel whims of the Olympic Gods. Rather than rule humanity, the Elementals chose another path: they would empower mortals to defend themselves.
To grant humanity access to their vast power, the four Elementals created Oyun, a mystical language built from an ancient arcane tongue and a system of magical symbols known as runes. Through Oyun, mortals could call upon elemental energy, shape it, and wield it in defense of themselves and the world around them.
At the heart of this power stands Gavrun, the Elemental of Earth. After escaping Pandora’s Box, Gavrun planted himself in the hidden magical forest of Fallthorne, a sacred place created by the Olympic Goddess Artemis gifted to him so that he might seed the Earth with elemental life force.
From Fallthorne, Gavrun’s roots spread deep beneath the crust of the world, forming the mystical network known as the Ley Lines.
These Ley Lines are not merely channels of energy. They are living conduits of elemental force, crisscrossing the Earth and creating convergences where immense magical power gathers. In places where these swells rise strongest, spellcasters can perform the most advanced Oyun, casting complex spells, teleporting across vast distances, and even opening portals to alternative dimensions.
